Balbir Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and Education. Singh is a social psychologist who examines how social information impacts interpersonal interactions. Singh is interested in how perception, recognition, and identification can change as a function of whether two people share (or don鈥檛 share) the same race, gender, or other social identities. In the classroom, Singh teaches courses on social psychology and statistics. These courses may include seminars in stereotyping, face recognition, or statistical tools such as signal detection theory.
