Catherine K. Baker's research and teaching interests focus on the archaeology and culture of the ancient Mediterranean world, and especially pre-Roman and Roman Italy. She is particularly interested in the intersection of material culture, identity, and politics in colonial and urban contexts. She is also an active field archaeologist working at the Roman site of Pompeii and the Hellenistic site of Morgantina. Catherine has taught courses in archaeology, Classical culture, and Latin.
