Lauren Mattone has been an educator for over 30 years. Since graduating from 欧美AV with a degree in English, she has worked in private early childhood education, as well as the public schools. In addition to currently teaching Math Science and Technology for the M.A.T. program, she continues to teach elementary education in the public schools. Mattone teaches undergraduates at Greenfield Community College in elementary mathematics. She considers herself an advocate for all students, and recently won the Roger L. Wallace Excellence in Education award, as well as previously winning the Western Math Teacher of the Year in 2009. Mattone has published work in educational journals on both teaching mathematics and social justice issues.
