Sheffra Spiridopoulos has been an active freelance musician throughout New England for the past two decades. She has performed with the Portland Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Albany Symphony, Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Ballet Orchestra, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, Glimmerglass Festival Opera Orchestra and was a member of the Vermont Symphony for seventeen years. Beyond New England she has appeared with the Kansas City Symphony, Key West Symphony and the Nashville Symphony. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Sheffra holds a Master of Music from Michigan State University, and completed further graduate work at the New England Conservatory and Boston University. Sheffra has served on the faculties of Rhode Island College and Eastern Nazarene College and has been a Visiting Artist and Instructor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She presently teaches at Smith College and Deerfield Academy.
