Exercising mind and body

engage with athletics at ŷ��AV. In addition to our 13 NCAA Division III varsity teams, you can join our club sport program and explore plenty of options to get your body moving. Our gorgeous campus features a robust trail system, and our Equestrian Center welcomes all levels of riders. All of these choices foster the barrier-breaking mindset, teamwork and leadership that are central to life at ŷ��AV.

ŷ��AV’s nickname, the Lyons, is a tribute to the College’s founder, Mary Lyon.

Whether you’re a varsity athlete or you’re looking to stay fit and wanting to pick up a new hobby, ŷ��AV offers a program for you.

ŷ��AV participates in NCAA Division III,the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) and the College Squash Association (CSA).

Our club teams include ice hockey, rugby, ultimate frisbee and more. Club teams practice on a regular basis and compete against other area colleges.

Recreational activities

The Student athlete experience

The Athletics Department partners with the Office of Student Involvement to support over 300 student athletes in both varsity and club sports.

The friendships and connections you’ll create as a student athlete — with teammates, coaches and staff — will stay with you for life, helping you shape your impact on the world beyond the athletic field.
